Megabass IXI Shad Type-3 57mm 1/4oz Col.Wild Craw

A collaboration between Katsutaka Imae, the founder of IMAKATSU®, and Yuki Ito, the founder of Megabass®, the IxI Shad (pronounced "I by I", for Ito x Imae), is a next-generation shad plug that reflects the combined experience of two of the world's leading designers and Japanese bait fishermen. Incorporating the LBO II (PAT.) balance system, the TYPE-3 casts surprisingly well for its size, overcoming one of the major complaints with the small shad-plug category. With an extremely realistic, compact profile and incredibly tight, hyper-pitch rolling action, the TYPE-3 elevates the performance of previous shad-plug staples. The TYPE-3 features the deepest depth of the series with its ability to track a maximum depth of 3.0 m (9-10 feet), but can also perform exceptionally well in the shallower 4-5 foot range thanks to its deflection. The design minimizes snags in the shallows and perfects aggressive deflections that cause bites in and around rock and structure. Instead of “sliding” deflections, which create dead spots in the recovery, the IxI Shad deflects — forcefully — but with a “falling forward” posture. The ability to deflect with athleticism and correct form ensures the bait does not lose traction during the retrieve, maintaining its size-defying action and ensuring potential bites are not missed through negligence.
